Jakarta, MRN – Pembukaan ajang olahraga sepak bola dunia FIFA World Cup 2022 baru saja diselenggarakan di Qatar, Minggu malam (20/11/2022). Masyarakat dunia merasakan euforia FIFA World Cup yang diselenggarakan setiap empat tahun sekali ini. Saat disinggung mengenai Indonesia akan menjadi tuan rumah pada ajang sepak bola Piala Dunia U-20 pada 20 Mei hingga 11 Juni 2023, Wapres berpesan agar penyelenggaraannya dapat dipersiapkan dengan baik.
“Kita tentu insya Allah akan bisa menyelenggarakan dengan baik, dengan melihat pengalaman maupun contoh lain yang kita anggap baik,” pesan Wapres.
“Yang baiknya itu akan ditiru Indonesia,” tambahnya.
Lebih jauh, Wapres menyebutkan keberhasilan Indonesia dalam penyelenggaraan ajang internasional, seperti MotoGP di Mandalika dan Presidensi G20 di Bali. Maka, menurut Wapres, Indonesia dapat menyelenggarakan U-20 dengan sangat baik.
“Indonesia sendiri sudah punya pengalaman menyelenggarakan tingkat ASEAN, MotoGP, dan bukan hanya olahraga, baru saja kita laksanakan G20. Dan kita dianggap berhasil, karena itu saya kira di U-20 juga demikian,” kata Wapres.
Sementara, saat dimintai tanggapan prediksi juara FIFA World Cup 2022, menurut Wapres masih sulit memprediksi dan akan menantikan alur permainan para negara-negara. Namun, Wapres mengerucutkan empat negara yang berpeluang besar di Benua Eropa yang berpotensi menjadi juara, yaitu Jerman, Prancis, Inggris, dan Spanyol. Sedangkan di Amerika Latin ada Brasil dan Argentina.
“Tim bolanya masih sulit ya, saya bilang di Amerika Latin itu ada dua raksasanya, Brasil sama Argentina. Di Eropa itu ada Jerman, ada Prancis, ada Inggris sekarang lagi bagus, Spanyol biasa suka jadi juara, ada empat,” jelas Wapres.
“Jadi masih sulit diprediksi kita lihat dulu seperti apa nanti di dalam seleksinya itu, kita lihat permainannya,” pungkasnya.
Turut mendampingi Wapres saat memberikan keterangan pers, Wakil Menteri Agama Zainut Tauhid, Kepala BAZNAS RI Noor Achmad, serta Kepala BAZNAS Jawa Tengah Ahmad Darodji.
