Spain Beats France 2-1 to Reach Euro 2024 Final

MRN – Spain emerged victorious in the Euro 2024 semifinals, defeating Les Bleus 2-1 at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Wednesday (10/7).

Randal Kolo Muani gave France an early lead in the ninth minute, but Spain managed to turn the score around with goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo before half-time.

The match remained goalless in the first half, securing Spain’s spot in the final to face the winner of the Netherlands vs England match.

Match Summary

France took the lead 1-0 in the ninth minute with Randal Kolo Muani’s header from Kylian Mbappe’s cross.

A scuffle erupted in Spain’s penalty area in the 18th minute following Mbappe’s shot, which was cleared by the Spanish defense.

Lamine Yamal equalized for Spain with a spectacular goal in the 21st minute, making it 1-1 with a strike from outside the box.

Spain then went ahead 2-1 in the 25th minute thanks to Dani Olmo’s powerful shot that deflected off Jules Kounde.

France struggled to find an equalizer as Spain defended well, leading 2-1 at halftime.

France had chances in the second half, with Tchouameni and Mbappe’s attempts saved by Unai Simon.

Spain defended resolutely as France pushed for a goal, but failed to find the back of the net.

Theo Hernandez missed a great opportunity in the 75th minute, while Yamal’s shot in the 81st minute narrowly missed.

Despite efforts from both sides, France couldn’t score in the second half, allowing Spain to advance to the final.
